Day Shift | 40 Hours per Week
Must be flexible to work other shifts , including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.

Job Summary

The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse provides high-quality, critical care nursing to patients with life-threatening or complex medical conditions. The ICU RN utilizes advanced clinical skills, critical thinking, and compassionate care while collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary teams in a fast-paced critical care environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive assessments of critically ill patients

• Monitor and manage ventilators, invasive lines, and hemodynamic equipment

• Administer medications, titrate drips, and manage IV therapies per protocols

• Respond to emergencies, including rapid responses and code situations

• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapy, and interdisciplinary teams

• Provide patient and family education and emotional support

• Accurately document patient care in the electronic medical record

• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and HIPAA regulations

Qualifications

Required

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Hawaii (or compact license, if applicable)

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification

• Minimum 1 year of ICU or critical care nursing experience

Preferred

• Experience with ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring

• Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certification

• Experience in rural or community hospital ICU settings
