Proxy Legal Staffing & Search Group has partnered with a Pittsburgh based firm to find a legal assistant! Our client is seeking an experienced Legal Assistant to support attorneys in a fast-paced practice. The ideal candidate will have 2–7 years of prior legal assistant or legal secretary experience and thrive in a deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative and litigation support to multiple attorneys

  • Manage calendars, schedule meetings, and track deadlines

  • Prepare, proofread, and format pleadings and legal documents

  • Handle e-filing in federal and state courts

  • Maintain case files and assist with trial preparation

  • Communicate with clients, courts, and opposing counsel

  • Support billing, expense reporting, and special projects as needed

Qualifications:

  • 2–7 years of law firm experience as a Legal Assistant or Legal Secretary

  • Litigation experience required

  • Strong knowledge of court procedures and e-filing

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word; solid Excel and PowerPoint
