Our client, a Global Manufacturing Leader is seeking a Tax Controversy Manager to join their team. As a Tax Controversy Manager, you will be part of the Tax Department supporting the Tax Controversy team. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Tax Controversy Manager

Location: Remote

Pay Range: $50 - $60 per hour

What's the Job?

  • Manage end-to-end US federal and state tax controversy cases, from initial request to resolution.
  • Research and defend the company’s technical positions on tax issues, shaping audit strategies.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver clear, timely responses to tax authorities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external advisors.
  • Identify opportunities to improve workflows, templates, and leverage technology to enhance efficiency.

What's Needed?

  • 4+ years of experience in public accounting (Big 4 preferred) or in-house tax controversy work.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Law, or related field.
  • CPA, bar admission, or relevant professional certification strongly preferred.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple deadlines.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills to explain complex issues clearly.
