The Internal Medicine Core Faculty physician is vital in guiding the education, oversight, and professional growth of Internal Medicine residents and medical students within our organization. This full-time faculty role involves direct clinical teaching in the outpatient continuity clinic and participation in scheduled inpatient supervision. The position encompasses clinical duties, structured educational activities, program governance, and scholarly involvement. The faculty member will also manage an active continuity patient panel while upholding the mission, values, and academic standards of the residency program.

• Oversee and instruct residents and medical students in the outpatient continuity clinic, Monday through Friday, from 08:00 to 17:00.
• Maintain a personal continuity panel of internal medicine patients.
• Engage in inpatient teaching assignments as scheduled.
• Provide remote faculty supervision for after-hours clinic calls.
• Support resident education during weekly didactic sessions (Wednesdays, 13:00-17:00).

• Deliver didactic lectures, case-based learning, and skills-based instruction.
• Contribute to academic planning, curriculum development, and ongoing enhancement of the residency program.
• Mentor residents, assist with individualized learning plans, and exemplify professional development.

• Participate in the Clinical Competency Committee (CCC) to evaluate resident performance and readiness for advancement.
• Engage in the Program Evaluation Committee (PEC) to oversee curriculum assessment and program quality improvement.
• Provide timely written and verbal evaluations of residents and medical students.

• Participate in scholarly activities such as research, quality improvement projects, case reports, publications, or other academic contributions.
• Supervise and educate residents during mobile health unit or community rotations.
• Encourage evidence-based practices and demonstrate a commitment to ongoing professional development.

• MD or DO degree with successful completion of an ACGME-accredited Internal Medicine residency program.
• Unrestricted medical license from the Medical Board of California (or eligibility to obtain one).
• Current board certification in Internal Medicine (ABIM).
• Clinical experience in comprehensive outpatient internal medicine and adult inpatient care.
• Proven experience in teaching residents and/or medical students.
• Eligibility for hospital privileges in outpatient internal medicine and inpatient adult medicine.
• Current ACLS certification.
• A strong dedication to education, scholarly activities, and delivering high-quality patient care.
