Office Assistant (FWS) - UESSThe UGSS Office Assistant will be the first point of contact for administration, faculty, staff, and students.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Answer phone and take accurate messages.Receptionist at the front desk. Be courteous and friendly while providing customer service to all visitors.Help with the organization of the Undergraduate curriculum.Do online research as requested.Update emailing lists utilizing Excel.Distribute mail, make copies, put together information packets, etc.Other Duties and Responsibilities:Perform other duties as assigned.Minimum Requirements:Must be comfortable dealing with people and phone calls and have a patient and pleasant disposition while providing excellent customer service.Must maintain confidentiality with student and employer records and sign a confidentiality statement.Must have basic knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and Microsoft Edge.Good attitude and willingness to help office staff.Accuracy is a must.Additional Desirable Qualifications:Physical Requirements - NAWorking Conditions: This position will work in an office and sit for most of your shift. At times, the position requires significant walking and light lifting (25 pounds or less).
