Shop Helper

Job Type: Full-Time
Pay Rate: $16-18/Hr.

Job Summary

We are looking for a dependable and hardworking Shop Helper to assist with daily operations in a busy industrial or fabrication shop. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with hand and power tools, moving materials, assisting skilled tradespeople, and keeping the shop clean, organized, and safe.

Responsibilities

Assist welders, fabricators, mechanics, and other shop personnel with daily tasks.
Load, unload, move, and organize materials throughout the shop.
Use basic hand and power tools safely.
Assist with grinding, cutting, drilling, deburring, and material preparation.
Help with assembly, fabrication, and production activities.
Measure and prepare materials according to job requirements.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Assist with shipping, receiving, packaging, and material handling as needed.
Follow instructions from supervisors and skilled tradespeople.
Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
Perform general labor and other shop duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Previous shop, warehouse, manufacturing, construction, or general labor experience preferred.
Basic experience with hand and power tools is a plus.
Ability to lift, carry, and move materials safely.
Strong work ethic and reliable attendance.
Ability to follow directions and work independently or as part of a team.
Safety-conscious and willing to learn.
Welding, fabrication, mechanical, forklift, or industrial experience is a plus.
