Job Summary Responsible for the day-to-day supervision of instructional and support staff to include evaluations, scheduling, and administrative oversight for the DHS/FEMA sports safety and security training program. Ensures compliance with all grant-related guidelines. Primary Duties and Responsibilities Oversee the courseinstructor’s selection, training, day-to-day assignment, andperformance. Establish goals andmonitor performance for all assigned staff. Review instructor evaluations on aquarterly basis and provide coaching and/or additional training as needed. Observe and evaluate allinstructional staff. Maintainup-to-date instructor training records. Meet all required performancetargets: number of course deliveries and participants, and instructorutilization. This includes marketing efforts to ensure the optimal targetmarket is captured. Manage coursecoordination efforts and course support to ensure the quality of eachdelivery within the program. This includes preparing training materials,shipping material, coordinating delivery locations, and ensuring allcourse forms are completed in a timely manner. Keeps informed of andinterpretes pertinent rules, regulations, policies, and procedures setforth by the University or other governing agencies and adjust plans asrequired. Performsother duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree froman accredited college or university in criminal justice, sports management, or a related field and at least 5 years of project management experience. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Abilityto speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organizations. Skillin completing assignments accurately and with attention to detail. Abilityto communicate and interact effectively with a diverse group of people. Abilityto analyze, organize and prioritize work while meeting multiple deadlines. Excellentorganization and time management skills. Abilityto establish goals and objectives. Preferred Qualifications Master's Degree from an accredited college oruniversity in criminal justice, sports management, or a related field and at least 8 years of projectmanagement experience in sports administration, emergency management, lawenforcement, or a related field.
