We specialize in developing, managing, and maintaining affordable housing communities across the US, striving to make a positive impact on the lives of individuals and families in need.We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Affordable Housing Compliance Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring that our properties remain in compliance with all applicable affordable housing regulations, policies, and procedures.Responsibilities:Conduct comprehensive reviews of resident files to ensure compliance with affordable housing program requirements, including LIHTC, HUD, Section 8 and/or PHA, along and other regulatory guidelines.Monitor income certifications, lease agreements, and recertification processes to ensure accuracy and compliance.Provide guidance and support to property management teams regarding affordable housing program regulations and procedures.Collaborate with internal departments and external agencies to address compliance-related issues and inquiries.Prepare and submit reports to regulatory agencies as required, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.Stay informed about changes in affordable housing regulations and update policies and procedures accordingly.Assist with training initiatives to ensure that property management staff members understand and adhere to compliance requirements.Qualifications:Minimum of 3 years of experience in affordable housing compliance or a related field.Strong knowledge of LIHTC, HUD, Section 8 and/or PHA, and other affordable housing programs and regulations.Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.Effective communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and property management software.Benefits:Medical, Dental, and Vision InsuranceEmployer-Paid Long-Term Disability and Life Insurance401(k) Plans with Employer ContributionsPaid HolidaysPaid Personal Time Off (accrued at 10 hours per month, totaling 15 days yearly)Advancement OpportunitiesProfessional Career Development and Training OpportunitiesIf you are passionate about affordable housing and have a strong background in compliance, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity to join our team and help us fulfill our mission of providing quality housing for all.
