Media Producer

Media Producer Position Summary: The Media Producer plays a pivotal role in the Office of Online Learning’s media production team, contributing to the creation of high‑quality, engaging content for diverse audiences. The role oversees every step of the production process—from ideation to product delivery—focusing on post‑production, graphics integration, visual effects, and sound design. Collaboration with the media manager, clients, and cross‑functional teams is essential to align creative output with expectations and maintain a cohesive team dynamic. Responsibilities Produce video and related media, managing pre‑production planning, on‑set production, and post‑production workflows. Collaborate with team members to provide constructive feedback and work effectively within a team environment. Research current and emerging production technologies, including new cameras, editing software, lighting equipment, and emerging techniques such as virtual reality, augmented reality, and drone cinematography. Maintain relationships with management, vendors, and external partners to develop premium products and ensure effective communication with clients and stakeholders. Make recommendations regarding equipment upgrades and acquisitions, working with instructional resources to meet inventory needs. Assist in maintaining and fulfilling requests from the media cooperative’s digital and physical archives. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Film Production, Media Studies, Communications, or equivalent education and experience. Demonstrated experience in video production, including shooting, editing, and post‑production techniques. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office Suite, Google Apps, and project management tools. Strong organizational skills and capacity to manage projects independently or as part of a team. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, conveying complex ideas concisely. A portfolio showcasing video production and editing skills is required. Physical Demands Carry equipment weighing up to 50 lbs. Driving may be required for work‑related duties.
