The selected candidate will contribute to a high-impact government program focused on enhancing and securing mission-critical systems and environments. The program is scheduled to launch in early 2026 and due to the classified nature of the mission and the sensitivity of the operational environment, an active TS/SCI security clearance will be required. Candidate must be willing to obtain and maintain a CI poly.Information Assurance Engineer 2: $85,371 - $118,529Information Assurance Engineer 3: $104,519 - $140,599Information Assurance Engineer 4: $135,472 - $192,103Essential Job ResponsibilitiesYou will provide expert cybersecurity engineering support to edge system stakeholders—including system owners, information security professionals, system engineers, and administrators—to ensure systems remain in full technical alignment with organizational security requirements. In this role, you translate cybersecurity policies, controls, and risk management guidance into actionable engineering recommendations that strengthen the security posture of distributed and mission critical edge environments.Key responsibilities include evaluating system architectures, identifying security gaps, and advising teams on secure design principles, hardening strategies, and compliance obligations. You will review technical implementations, validate control effectiveness, and guide stakeholders through security engineering activities related to system upgrades, deployments, and operational changes. You may also support security assessments, documentation development, boundary protection planning, and risk remediation recommendations.
