Job Description
Title: Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

Schedule: Night shift, 7 PM - 7 AM

Assignment Details:
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week

Requirements:
- Current NYS RN license required
- BLS and ACLS certification required
- PALS certification required
- MEDITECH experience required
- Travel experience required
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
- Critical care and charge experience preferred

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Provide quality patient care and assess patients' clinical, teaching, mental, and spiritual needs.
- Identify and intervene in life-threatening situations.
- Recognize safety issues for self and others and implement safe patient handling techniques.
- Function effectively in stressful situations and exhibit strong problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrate leadership skills by prioritizing tasks and delegating responsibilities as needed.
- Assume duties as a charge nurse if required.

Compliance / Notes:
- Must successfully complete lethal dysrhythmia exam during probation and obtain defibrillation certification within six months of employment.
- IV, medication, and phlebotomy certification required during orientation.
