Change Management Lead

Position Summary The Change Management Lead is responsible for leading and coordinating organizational change management efforts for Enterprise Information Technology Services (EITS) initiatives, enterprise systems, and services. This position focuses on assessing organizational readiness, understanding stakeholder impacts, and developing structured change strategies that support adoption, minimize disruption, and sustain long‑term success. The Lead works closely with Planning and Engagement and other areas of EITS to ensure organizational change strategies are aligned with project delivery, stakeholder engagement, and end‑user adoption efforts. This role emphasizes enterprise‑level coordination, helps the organization sequence initiatives effectively, reduce change fatigue, and improve overall readiness for transformation. It also supports organizational development efforts that strengthen internal alignment, including internal communications, clarity of mission and priorities, and overall organizational readiness for change. Responsibilities Lead Organizational Change Management Efforts for EITS Initiatives and Enterprise Systems Apply structured change management principles and methodologies to support EITS projects, programs, and operational changes. Assess organizational readiness and identify impacts to people, processes, and workflows resulting from proposed changes. Develop and maintain change management plans that address stakeholder engagement, readiness, adoption, and reinforcement. Identify risks related to change fatigue, resistance, or disruption and develop mitigation strategies. Partner with Planning and Engagement and other areas of EITS to ensure change management strategies are aligned with project plans, timelines, and communications approaches. Support divisional awareness of cross‑initiative impacts, identifying interdependencies and cumulative effects on stakeholders across the EITS portfolio. Capture lessons learned and refine change management practices to improve long‑term effectiveness. Develop and Coordinate Organizational Change Strategies that Support Adoption and Sustained Use Collaborate with service owners, project teams, and areas of EITS to align change strategies with training, accessibility, and adoption programs. Identify audiences impacted by changes and define stakeholder‑specific readiness and engagement approaches. Provide guidance on organizational readiness, stakeholder needs, and change impacts to inform training and adoption efforts. Contribute organizational readiness indicators and stakeholder feedback insights to complement adoption metrics and programmatic assessments. Promote approaches that improve clarity, reduce disruption, and strengthen internal alignment across the organization. Clearly and Professionally Communicate Change Impacts, Readiness, and Risk to Stakeholders Participate in meetings with leadership, project teams, and campus partners to discuss change impacts, readiness, and risks. Communicate risks, concerns, and recommendations related to organizational change in a timely and effective manner. Support development of materials that explain change impacts, set expectations, and promote stakeholder awareness. Coordinate with Planning and Engagement and other areas of EITS to ensure alignment across change, communication, and adoption efforts. Support Alignment of User‑Facing Materials and Continuous Improvement Partner with Planning and Engagement and service owners to ensure user‑facing materials support change objectives and stakeholder understanding. Provide input on clarity, timing, and alignment of messaging and documentation with change strategies. Identify opportunities to simplify processes, reduce friction, and improve stakeholder experience during transitions. Leverage feedback, data, and insights to inform continuous improvement of change‑related practices. Support Organizational Development and Internal Alignment Support initiatives that strengthen internal communication, alignment, and shared understanding across EITS. Contribute to efforts related to organizational clarity, including mission, vision, values, and strategic priorities, ensuring alignment with change initiatives. Partner with leadership to identify internal communication gaps and opportunities to improve transparency, consistency, and engagement. Apply change management principles to internal initiatives that impact organizational culture, structure, or ways of working. Provide insight into organizational dynamics, helping leaders anticipate and address internal friction points during periods of change. Other Duties as Assigned Qualifications Minimum: Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent and 2 years of professional experience. Preferred: Experience applying formal change management methodologies (e.g., Prosci, ADKAR, or similar frameworks). Prosci Certified Change Practitioner certification preferred; required within six months of employment. Experience in higher education or large, complex organizations. Experience supporting enterprise technology implementations or large‑scale organizational initiatives. Familiarity with stakeholder engagement, organizational development, or internal communications strategies. Experience collaborating across functional areas such as project management, communications, training, or IT service delivery. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: Demonstrated experience facilitating and documenting change management efforts necessary to ensure end‑user adoption.
