Overview
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) needed for a travel assignment in Berlin, VT. Specialty: Registered Respiratory Therapist. Start date: 09/28/2026. Duration: 17 weeks. Responsibilities
- Deliver prescribed respiratory care to patients across age groups (adult, pediatric, and neonatal as applicable) per physician orders.
- Operate and monitor ventilators and related equipment (e.g., Hamilton C3/T1, V60 NIV, Airvo 2, HFNC, Bubble CPAP) and provide NIV therapy as needed.
- Administer inhaled medications (nebulized bronchodilators, hyperinflation therapies) and perform airway clearance techniques.
- Collaborate with Pulmonary Critical Care physicians and hospitalists; participate in rounds and coordinate care with the multidisciplinary team.
- Aid in external transports for critically ill patients when required; support unit procedures and ventilator weaning protocols.
- Document patient care accurately in the Epic electronic medical record; monitor patient response and adjust therapies per unit protocols.
- Adhere to infection control standards and unit-specific protocols for bronchodilator therapy, NIV, and ventilator management.

Requirements
- Licensure/Certification: Active Respiratory Therapist credential; RRT required; Vermont licensure or eligibility preferred. BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required; NBRC Verification preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of clinical respiratory therapy experience; neonatal/pediatric NICU/PICU involvement is required or strongly preferred due to unit mix.
- EMR: Epic experience within the past 2 years is required.
- Skills: Proficiency with mechanical ventilation, NIV, NIV devices, and associated monitoring; ability to manage aerosolized medications and airway clearance therapies.
- Scheduling/Location: Ability to work 12-hour night shifts; travel assignment in a hospital setting; reliable transportation required.
- Additional: Neonatal/pediatric experience is essential given unit responsibilities; previous travel experience not required but may be beneficial.
