Medical Surgical Unit - Travel Registered Nurse

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 24 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience with 12 months worked in the last 3 years.

• 3 months of travel experience is required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Georgia license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >75 miles from facility to be submitted.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - Phoebe Putney and no current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - Phoebe Putney.

Additional Details:

References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you’re applying to.

Required Skills/Experience: Must have 2 years experience and 1 travel assignment.

Special Requests: 75-mile radius rule applies.

Unit Details: Uses Meditech. Medical observation unit with miscellaneous medical observation patients. Heparin only drips. Heavy telemetry unit; monitored by central monitoring. Ratios 1:5 or 1:6; charge nurse is in staffing and occasionally has patients. Fast-paced, high-turnover unit with frequent discharges and admissions; up to 16 discharges per day. RNs perform their own EKGs and draw their own labs.

Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend. Holidays rotate with permanent staff. No call.

Floating Requirements: Floats to Med-Surg.

7 days maximum time off

1 Manager/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months

1 reference required from within the last 3 years

Driver’s license required for submission

Certifications:

• BLS (Basic Life Support)

• NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale)

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
