Sr Composites Technician (Equipment Operator), First Shift Location: Long Beach, California, United States Compensation: $33 - 46 USD / hour About the Role This is a 1st shift position with a standard schedule of 5:00AM-3:30PM PT, Monday through Friday. The role requires a baseline expectation of a 50‑hour workweek, which may include occasional overtime as needed to meet operational goals. Responsibilities Operate equipment used for aerospace grade composites manufacturing such as curing ovens and ply cutting tables. Handle composite pre‑preg materials and adhesives, maintain material traceability and out‑life documentation. Safely de‑tool finished composite parts via critical lifting, and prepare lamination tools for next runs using mold sealants and release agents. Uphold high Relativity Space standards regarding safety and shop cleanliness. Foster an inclusive environment for all team members. Qualifications 5+ years of composites manufacturing experience in aerospace, automotive, or similar industries. Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced manufacturing environment. Effective communication (verbal and written) with engineering and production. Ability to use forklifts or cranes to perform critical lifts of flight hardware, raw material, or tooling/GSE. Interpret live data on cure charts such as temperature and pressure readings, and determine if cure cycles are proceeding nominally. Experience with Manufacturing Execution System software to document manufacturing operations (work order labor charging, buyoffs, data collections, etc.). Nice to Haves FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A &A Experience partnering with other business functions to successfully build flight hardware such as manufacturing engineering and quality. Experience supporting manufacturing operations at remote or downstream work sites. Compensation Hiring Range: $33.20 - $45.65 USD per hour.
