Neurological Unit Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide nursing care within the Neurological Unit at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) . This 13-week contract opportunity is ideal for an RN with a strong acute care background, including significant experience caring for neurological patients and patients experiencing seizures.

Position Details

Contract Length: 13 weeks
Position: Full-time RN
Shift: Nights
Schedule: Two 8-hour shifts and two 12-hour shifts
Weekends & Holidays: As needed

QualificationsEducation

Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited university; or
Associate degree in Nursing from an accredited university

Experience

At least 2 years of acute care hospital nursing experience in Medical-Surgical care
Strong experience in neurological care and seizure management required

Certifications

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC)

Licensure

Valid nursing license in at least one U.S. state, territory, or commonwealth
