The Division of Infectious Disease provides extensive care for patients dealing with both acute and chronic infections and is recognized as a leader in the field of infectious disease management. • Manageable Workload: Handle an average of only 8 new consultations daily, primarily involving lower-complexity infections acquired in the community or hospital settings.
• Predictable Schedule: Focus on inpatient consultations and follow-ups, complemented by one designated clinic day each week for outpatient consultations and ongoing patient care.
• Focused Outpatient Panel: Provide impactful care to a small, established group of HIV patients within the clinic environment.
• Excellent Call Schedule: Enjoy your weekends with an on-call expectation of just one weekend per month, often less, due to the reliable support from two dedicated per diem rotators.

Established in 1951, Peconic Bay Medical Center (PBMC) is a 144-bed non-profit community hospital that serves as the primary healthcare facility for over 250,000 residents in eastern Suffolk County and Long Island's North Fork. PBMC boasts the region's only Interventional Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory, a Level III Trauma Center, and a NYS-Designated Stroke Center. Compensation: Full-time clinical base salaries within our organization range from $125K to $750K, influenced by various factors such as physician specialty, experience level, quality of care, academic achievements, patient satisfaction, and productivity. The base salary range provided is a good faith estimate of potential earnings at the time of this job posting and may be subject to change in the future.
