Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Rehabilitation Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 06:30 - 19:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: RN licensed in the state Certifications: BLS (CPR) Certification Must-Have Skills/Experience: Flexible, collaborative, positive demeanor Experience in Rehabilitation Description: Rehabilitation hospital provides inpatient rehabilitation services for patients recovering from various conditions. This includes strokes, brain or spinal cord injuries, amputations, multiple trauma, cancer, and complex orthopedic injuries. The facility emphasizes recuperation outside the traditional hospital setting. It incorporates many unique features, including a brain injury unit and specialized equipment for stroke care. Patients have access to gymnasiums featuring high-tech therapy devices and a special apartment for practicing daily living tasks. Private, family-friendly rooms with amenities are available for patients and their families. Rehabilitation professionals provide exceptional patient care focused on improving individual functional abilities and quality of life. The treatment approach addresses physical, emotional, and psychological components of each patient. Evaluation focuses on movement patterns, strength, flexibility, functional ability, balance, and tone. Therapists collaborate closely with physicians, specialists, and family members to support patient progress toward their goals. Patient care includes a dedicated team that aims to enhance quality of life through individualized rehabilitation strategies. Nurse-patient ratios are approximately 1:6/7 during the day and 1:8 at night. Each nurse has a dedicated technical support staff member.
