General Labor Industrial Manufacturing Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking dependable and safety-focused General Laborers to join our industrial manufacturing team. This position supports daily production operations by assisting with assembly, material handling, machine operation, packaging, quality inspections, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. The ideal candidate is reliable, willing to learn, and able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform general production and manufacturing tasks as assigned.
• Load, unload, and move raw materials and finished products.
• Assist machine operators with setup, operation, and production processes.
• Inspect products for quality and report defects or production issues.
• Package, label, and prepare products for shipment.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area following 5S practices.
• Follow all company safety policies and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Operate hand tools, power tools, pallet jacks, and other equipment as trained.
• Assist with inventory counts and material replenishment.
• Meet production goals while maintaining quality standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Previous manufacturing, warehouse, or general labor experience is a plus.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.
• Willingness to work overtime and flexible schedules as needed.
• Basic math and communication skills.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and lift throughout the shift.
• Frequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures, noise levels, and industrial environments.
• Capable of repetitive movements and extended periods of standing.
