Dental Assistant Opportunity

GiaCare Inc. is accepting applications from qualified Dental Assistants for a future opportunity supporting the United States Air Force at Columbus Air Force Base in Columbus, Mississippi.

This position is being recruited in anticipation of contract award. Qualified candidates will be considered for employment upon contract award.

Schedule

• Full-Time
• Monday-Friday
• 7:30 AM-4:30 PM
• Outpatient Dental Clinic
• One-hour unpaid lunch
• No routine weekends
• No on-call
• Federal holidays observed

Responsibilities

• Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures
• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials
• Obtain and document patient information
• Expose and process dental radiographs
• Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
• Maintain accurate patient documentation
• Assist with scheduling and coordination of patient care

Minimum Qualifications

• U.S. Citizen
• Meet one of the qualifying education or experience pathways outlined by the contract requirements (CODA-accredited program, military dental training, qualifying civilian experience, or other approved pathway)
• Current certification in dental radiography as required by applicable federal regulations
• Minimum of 12 months of qualifying Dental Assistant experience within the required timeframe or otherwise meet one of the contract's approved qualification pathways
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with digital dental radiography
• Strong organizational and patient communication skills
