Description

American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for an Emergency Department position requiring a NC or compact RN license and a minimum of two years of ED experience.

Details

• Hospital-based Emergency Department with a 52-bed ED plus a 4-bed Behavioral Health Unit providing 24/7 all-ages emergency care
• Unit handles approximately 196 admissions per day with a 5:2 patient ratio
• Night shift schedule from 7:00pm to 7:00am
• 3 shifts per week at 12 hours each, totaling 36 hours weekly
• On-call required if needed, approximately 1 shift per pay period
• Weekend coverage required for 4 shifts within a 6-week period

Requirements

• Active RN license in North Carolina (or compact)
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience required
• At least 1 year of general nursing experience required
• Nursing Diploma, ADN, or ASN from an accredited nursing school required; BSN or MSN preferred
• Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC)
• ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications required
• CPI-B certification required

Additional Information

• Deliver competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards in a fast-paced ED setting
• Perform bedside point-of-care testing as part of patient care plans
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to assess, plan, and evaluate patient care
