Senior Data Scientist

ResponsibilitiesThe Senior Data Scientist will provide data analytics for the afloat network system design. This effort will enhance the Navy's networking capabilities by ensuring reliable and secure connectivity, streamlining support processes, and facilitating the transition to an enterprise network capability. The candidate will develop data models to evaluate and provide network engineering, cybersecurity support, and technical support services for existing and future network capabilities. Systems supported include: FORCEnet, Airborne Wide Area Network (AWAN), E-2 Engineering Support, Airborne Network Global Information Grid (GIG) Interface (ANGI), and other airborne networking systems and in developing advanced efforts. Candidate will provide strategic networking guidance, conduct long-term assessment of future technologies and techniques for incorporation into operational weapon systems, and facilitate the development of a common, flexible, standardized network architecture that is reliable, easily upgradable, reconfigurable, and maintainable to facilitate rapid implementation.This position is located in San Diego, CA.Required QualificationsMaster’s degree in Data Science, Analytics, or Computer ScienceMinimum 5 years of experience developing, analyzing, or deploying data-driven solutionsMinimum 5+ years’ experience with machine learning or AI enabled systems.Experience with data analysis, visualization, or decision support toolsExperience with Python or similar programming languagesExperience using version control systems (e.g., Git)Must be a US citizenMust have an active Secret ClearanceDesired QualificationsExperience with natural language processing or large language modelsExperience deploying applications in operational environments (afloat/ashore)Experience with containerized environments (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift)Experience supporting cybersecurity considerations in software developmentExperience working with DOW or NAVAIR program officeOverviewOverviewNoblis and our wholly owned subsidiaries, Noblis ESI and Noblis MSD, take on some of the nation’s toughest challenges, delivering advanced solutions to our customers’ most critical missions. The projected compensation range for this position is based on full time status. For part time or on-call staff, compensation is proportionately adjusted based on hours worked. While monetary compensation is important, it's just one component of Noblis’ total compensation package.Posted Salary RangeUSD $105,100.00 - USD $164,125.00 /Yr.
