Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse with expertise in ICU care to join our team. The selected candidate will provide high-quality care to critically ill patients, support a collaborative environment, and adhere to facility protocols.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive care to a diverse patient population, primarily in a Medical ICU setting, handling cases such as DKA, sepsis, and post-operative recovery.
• Interpret cardiac rhythms and titrate medications accurately.
• Monitor and manage invasive lines, including a-lines and CVP.
• Participate in rapid response and resource nurse activities.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years ICU experience is required.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
• Proficient with EPIC charting system and BD Alaris IV Pumps.
• Ability to manage patient ratios of 1:2-3 based on acuity.
• Familiarity with chest tubes, drains, and hypothermia protocols.

No. Minimum one prior travel assignment Traveler must reside >100 miles outside of facility Permanent staff must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler Patient Types: Complex ICU patients ranging from surgical, medical, cardiac (preferred), neuro and trauma Diagnoses include: ARDS, MI, CVA/TIA, COVID, s/p cardiac cath, post-surgical, multiple system trauma – heavy trauma population Cardiac experience is preferred (not required): CABG/TAVR – 24 to 48 hrs post op experience is preferred but not required for travelers Will not take fresh open hearts unless they are experienced, and the facility felt comfortable with this – given to permanent staff Patient Ratios: RN: 1:1, 2:1, 3:1
