About This Role

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Pre-Kindergarten Teacher to join our early childhood education team in Warwick, NY. In this role, you will create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment that fosters the social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development of young learners. You will design and implement a play-based curriculum that prepares children for kindergarten while instilling a lifelong love of learning.

What You'll Do

• Plan and execute developmentally appropriate lesson plans and daily activities.
• Foster a supportive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, exploration, and collaboration.
• Assess and monitor student progress to adapt teaching methods to individual learning styles.
• Maintain open and professional communication with parents regarding their child's development and milestones.
• Ensure classroom safety and cleanliness in compliance with state licensing standards.

Requirements

• Degree in Early Childhood Education, Childhood Education (Birth-2), or a related field.
• Proven experience working with preschool-aged children in a structured setting.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.

Certification Preference:

• NYS Teacher Certification (e.g., Early Childhood B-2, or Students with Disabilities B-2) for UPK classroom or working toward certification.

Nice To Haves

• 2+ year early childhood teaching experience
• Experience working with children with special education needs or an understanding of inclusive practices.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Infant/Child CPR
• MAT certification
