About the Role:
Express Employment Professionals is hiring on behalf of a manufacturing company seeking a detail-oriented Purchasing Assistant to support procurement operations. This role ensures materials and supplies are ordered, tracked, and delivered on time to meet production needs.
Key Responsibilities:
1-3 years of purchasing or administrative support experience
Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM (occasional weekends as needed)

- Track orders and ensure timely delivery
- Communicate with vendors on pricing, availability, and order status
- Maintain accurate purchasing records and documentation
- Monitor inventory levels and report shortages
- Coordinate with production and logistics teams
- Resolve order discrepancies (pricing, quantities, damages)
- Update vendor information in ERP systems
- Assist with reports and cost control efforts
1-3 years of purchasing or administrative support experience
- Manufacturing or industrial experience preferred
- Familiarity with ERP systems preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook)
- Strong organization, communication, and problem-solving skills
Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM (occasional weekends as needed)
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit, stand, and lift up to 25 lbs
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment
