Key Responsibilities\n

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the severity and nuances of mood disorder symptoms in clients, ensuring a deep understanding of their unique circumstances.

  • Develop personalized treatment plans in collaboration with clients that are informed by evidenced-based therapeutic modalities, addressing their specific goals and preferences.

  • Employ various therapeutic interventions, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to effectively support client healing and recovery.

  • Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, available treatment options, and effective self-care strategies to enhance their understanding and engagement in the recovery process.

  • Continuously monitor client progress throughout the treatment journey, adjusting plans as necessary based on their evolving needs and feedback.

  • Engage in multi-disciplinary collaboration with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to provide integrated and comprehensive care that meets all aspects of patient health.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on individuals struggling with mood disorders, including various levels of depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. You will develop therapeutic relationships with a diverse range of clients, from varied backgrounds, ensuring culturally competent and empathetic care tailored to their specific experiences.

Qualifications\n

  • A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

  • Must hold a current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Texas.

  • Demonstrated expertise in evidence-based treatment modalities, particularly CBT and DBT, is essential.
  • \n
  • A strong understanding of psychopharmacology to collaborate effectively with psychiatrists and other medical staff is important.
  • \n
  • A proven track record of delivering successful therapeutic outcomes in the treatment of mood disorders.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are necessary to build rapport with clients and to engage meaningfully with their families.

Preferred Experience\n

  • Experience in a community health setting or outpatient clinic is highly desirable.
