Key Responsibilities of the RN - Cath Lab

• Perform interventional cardiac cath lab procedures
• Conduct special procedures and cardiac stent placements
• Manage diagnostic catheterizations for adults
• Conduct various interventional catheterizations
• Monitor and manage procedural sedation
• Maintain and care for implanted ports
• Prevent infections and ensure isolation precautions are followed

Requirements of the RN - Cath Lab

• Valid ACLS and BLS certifications
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in cath lab settings
• Solid familiarity with the EPIC charting system
• Mandatory competency in phlebotomy and IV placements
