The Associate Director of Corporate Partnerships operates on the partnerships team within United Way of Greater Atlanta's Office of Development. The team partners with corporations not currently engaged with United Way and supports their CSR/philanthropic outreach within the community while increasing investments to UWGA. The team works closely with external partners, which include stakeholders, volunteers, and corporate leaders. Internally the team collaborates across all departments within the organization. The main objective is to create new partnership opportunities for companies to align with United Way of Greater Atlanta's Child Well-Being Mission.

This position is responsible for securing new partnerships for United Way of Greater Atlanta, focused on key growth industries including, but not limited to professional and collegiate sports organizations, small businesses, financial technology and more while assisting the broader partnerships team with data analysis, partnership activations, and strategy building and execution at pre-existing partnerships. The Associate Director of Corporate Partnerships is a full-time position, and the candidate must pose effective communication and problem-solving skills for a high-volume workload and produce a high level of quality and attention to detail in their work.

This role supports the goals of growing the corporate base of new partnerships to engage and support UWGA through new investment opportunities and increasing awareness and knowledge among prospects and other key stakeholders about the Child Well-Being Mission.

Key responsibilities include strategizing with the partnerships team to develop partnership plans for key stakeholders based upon target research and corporate social responsibility priorities and goals, developing innovative strategies to secure new partnerships to support United Way of Greater Atlanta's Child Well-Being Mission, focusing on Atlanta's growing industries across United Way of Greater Atlanta's 13 county footprint, leading and assisting the strategy and activation for new partnerships, managing an assigned account portfolio with a focus on identifying partnership whitespace and develop multi-year partnership proposals, working closely and collaboratively with key stakeholders, including but not limited to corporate engagement leads, CSR directors, executives, and other key account volunteers to plan & implement partnership activations, closely monitoring account portfolio and adhering to a timeline to ensure partnership activation items are executed in a timely manner, focusing strongly on customer service, continuing efforts to amplify new partnership planning, that provides solutions to stakeholders' business and community challenges, using strong attention to detail when reporting on partnership and donor information in CRM software, working closely with Operations and Donor Services Teams as needed to ensure accounts correctly reflect investment amount and that investments are audited completely and correctly, identifying, creating, and executing specific Office of Development strategies in partnership with other departments at UWGA, holding a strong understanding of United Way's Child Well-Being Initiative and Agenda and be able to clearly articulate the mission and value of the organization, identifying areas of UWGA's Office of Development that can be amplified by new partnerships, and working closely with the internal Office of Development teams to provide partners with a year-round engagement plan that aligns with the partner's core values.

This role requires a balance of project management skills and the ability to create philanthropic solutions for new corporate partners. An undergraduate degree is required. Previous partnerships and/or sales experience is a plus. Must be a self-starter and hold the ability/willingness to respond to changing circumstances and expectations readily. Ability to plan strategically, organize priorities, multi-task, design approaches, and close commitments. Must be proficient in technology, including but not limited to, Zoom and Microsoft Office Suite, with a focus on Microsoft Teams and Microsoft Excel. Previous experience using a CRM platform is a plus. Ability and desire to achieve and/or exceed predetermined goals. Ability to analyze data for discovery and planning purposes. Ability to maintain accurate records within CRM database management system. Ability to identify growing trends and industry white spaces. Innovative problem solver/Out of the box thinker.
