Bilingual English and Spanish Customer Service Representative

Overview Improve the lives of others while Caring. Connecting. Growing together. This is a Bilingual English and Spanish Customer Service Representative position (onsite) in Sumter, SC. Primary Responsibilities Answer all phone calls. Schedule, reschedule or cancel patient appointments as needed. Reschedule all appointments when a provider is out of the office. Transfer calls to nurse station or other specified locations as needed. Enter telephone encounters when a patient needs medication, lab results, or to speak with a nurse or provider. Call patients who don’t show up for appointments to attempt to get them back on schedule. Call all new patients prior to their appointment as a reminder. Send letters to patients we can’t successfully reach by phone. Help mail letters to patients of a provider who is leaving the practice. Other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications High School Diploma / GED OR equivalent work experience Must be 18 years of age or older 1+ years of customer service experience using phones and computers as primary tools Bilingual verbal and written fluency in English and Spanish Experience with computers and Windows PC applications, including the ability to navigate and learn new systems Ability to work full-time, Monday - Friday, with flexibility for 8-hour shift schedules during standard business hours 7:30 am – 5:30 pm, and occasional overtime if needed Preferred Qualifications Soft skills: demonstrated ability to listen skillfully, gather relevant information, build rapport and respond empathetically to customers Proficient conflict management skills to resolve issues in stressful situations Pay and Benefits The hourly pay for this role ranges from $16.00 to $29.00 per hour based on full-time employment. Pay is determined by factors including local labor markets, education, work experience, and certifications. Benefits include a comprehensive package, incentive programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution where eligible. Benefits and incentives vary by location and eligibility. We offer 2–6 weeks of paid training. Training hours are Monday–Friday, within 7:30 am to 5:30 pm.
