Local travel nuclear medicine technologist for a 13-week contract in Rancho Mirage, CA. This role supports a premier healthcare facility, delivering imaging and therapeutic procedures with a weekly pay up to $3,720 based on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform nuclear medicine imaging and therapeutic procedures
• Prepare patients for procedures, including scheduling and pre-procedure instructions
• Operate nuclear medicine cameras and auxiliary imaging equipment following protocols
• Ensure accurate record keeping and adherence to radiation safety regulations
• Demonstrate proficiency in all nuclear medicine procedures, including special positioning of patients
• Calibrate and prepare radiopharmaceutical materials for administration
• Calculate patient study results and account for radioactive decay
• Review instrument calibration data and report malfunctions
• Monitor physiological status and care of patients during procedures
• Maintain proficiency in IV line placement and proper injection techniques
• Track and manage inventory of radiopharmaceuticals and supplies
• Submit nuclear charge tickets for each patient procedure

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nuclear medicine technology
• ARRT, NMTCB, or ASCP certification
• California state license
• American Heart Association BLS certification
• 13 years of experience preferred
