The Estimating Director has overall responsibility for the training and staffing of the estimating department./ph3Essential Functions/h3ulliManagement/liulliProvide ongoing supervision and accountability for the Stop Gate estimating processes./liliEnforce InPwr Inc. policies and procedures specific to Human Resources guidelines./liliContinually assess estimating personnel as it applies to individuals job qualifications, performance, and compensation evaluations./li/ulliAccountability/liliLeadership/liulliPromote and reinforce InPwr core values to all personnel./liliValue highly collaborative solution-oriented relationships with departmental Directors of Project Management, General Superintendents, Project Coordination, Human Resources, Engineering, and Design./li/ulliTraining/liliEffectively communicating and collaborating with customers regarding the customer RFP and InPwr bid proposal processes, including but not limited to the following:/liulliManaging customer expectations regarding bid deadlines and proposal deliverable./liliReviewing bid proposal documents for follow-up RFI and general questions./li/ulliNegotiating with vendor partners, including manufacturers, distributors, and subcontractors./liliEffectively communicating and executing strategies regarding bid proposal follow-up efforts and bid results./li/ulh3Estimating Overview/h3ulliExecuting all estimating processes and personnel/liliStrategize new bid opportunities by collaborating with Business Development personnel, project managers, and/or designated account managers and preconstruction support./liliLead and organize new bid estimate strategy planning sessions./liliImplement and maintain quality control of the Stop Gate 1 process./liliAssign estimating tasks based on the experience and aptitude of personnel./liliDevelop and monitor preliminary and final InPwr scope price proposals./liliSupervision of all customer bid documentation, including RFP, construction drawings, specifications, and supplemental vendor documentation./liliSupervision of all InPwr subcontractor and vendor quotations and preliminary submittals supporting the bid proposal process./liliSupervision of all requirements specific to the Authority Having Jurisdiction, local utility company requirements, state and local requirements superseding or supplemental to NEC requirements./liliOngoing and final review and analysis of all estimates and project deliverables./liliProvide oversight and or perform control takeoff estimates and change order budget pricing as requested from and in coordination with project managers./liliWeekly update of bid tracking documentation for estimating purposes./liliWeekly updating of senior leadership to current bid project status./liliWeekly updating information for the global Confidential List./li/ulh3Technology Tools/h3ulliMicrosoft Office/liliAccubid/liliConstruction Document Review Process/li/ulh3Qualifications Competencies/h3ulli(10) Years of electrical industry estimating experience./liliPossess at minimum (1) Masters electrical license./liliEffectively communicating interdepartmental coordination of project deliverables./liliElectrical Industry Expertise and General Knowledge/liulliWorking knowledge of the National Electrical Code and electrical theory./liliProficient skills in reading construction drawings, specifications, electrical submittals./liliExtensive experience in layout of electrical equipment and systems./liliExpertise in design and engineering concepts specifically diagrammatic one lines, load calculations, feeder and branch circuit analysis./li/ul/ulh3Benefits/h3ulliMedical, Dental, Vision and Life Insurance 100% company paid for employees/liliPaid vacation holidays/lili401(k) company match/lili30-day paid sabbatical every 5 years of employment/liliStable employment with a growing company/liliHighly competitive salary/li/ulh3Working/ Environment/ Physical Demands to successfully perform the essential functions of this job:/h3ulliJob Requires working in all elements, depending on job location, time of year./liliMust be able to utilize construction site sanitary facilities./liliWork in restricted areas./liliWear personal protective equipment (hard hat, safety glasses always), respirator when required./liliAble to work 8-10 hours per day, 40-50 hours per week./li/ulpEEO, Drug Free Workplace Safety has always been our priority.
