Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) - Open Wide Dental Location: Open Wide Dental | Phoenix, AZ Compensation: $55/hour Schedule: Wednesday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM | Saturday, 8:00 AM-1:00 PM Patient Mix: PPO & Fee-for-Service Practice Model: Traditional Hygiene | Single Column, 60-Minute Recall/Prophy Appointments Benefits Eligibility: Employees regularly scheduled to work 30+ hours per week may be eligible for benefits. About The Opportunity Open Wide Dental is seeking a Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) to join our Phoenix team! What Your Day Looks Like 60-minute hygiene appointments in a traditional single-column schedule A PPO and fee-for-service patient base An LGBTQ+ affirming, inclusive workplace that values diversity and respect Collaboration with the dentist on exams and treatment planning Opportunities to educate patients on preventive and periodontal care A team-oriented environment focused on quality clinical outcomes Opportunities to build long‑term patient relationships What You’ll Do Perform dental prophylaxis and periodontal maintenance Conduct periodontal charting and assessments Take diagnostic radiographs Provide patient education and oral hygiene instruction Identify and communicate restorative and periodontal treatment needs Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation Collaborate with dentists, dental assistants, and front office staff Support comprehensive patient care and promote long‑term oral health Requirements Required Active Dental Hygiene License in Arizona Local Anesthesia Certification (if applicable by state) Current CPR/BLS Certification Strong communication and patient education skills Commitment to quality patient care Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment Preferred Laser Certification Experience with assisted hygiene models Experience in PPO, Fee-for-Service, and/or Medicaid environments Experience with periodontal therapyExperience with patient education and treatment acceptance Bilingual skills Benefits Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401(k) with 4% Employer Match Paid Holidays Paid Time Off (PTO) Continuing Education Support Insurance benefits begin the 1st of the month following 60 days of employment.
