Construction Co., Inc.Salary/Pay Rate: $85,000 - $110,000 annually + Performance Based BonusLocation: Charleston, WV (work sites typically within 90 minutes)Job/Employment Type: Full TimeProject Scope: Heavy Civil Construction, Bridge Infrastructure, Commercial, and Federal ProjectsMandatory Licences & Certifications: None RequiredThe Opportunity:You will serve as the primary field leader overseeing complete construction operations for high-visibility bridge and civil infrastructure projects across West Virginia. By directing crews, subcontractors, and site logistics, you will directly drive project execution and long-term structural quality. This role offers high operational autonomy, performance bonus potential, and the opportunity to build a legacy with a premier, multi-generational civil builder.How You Will Make an Impact:Direct complete daily field operations for bridge construction projects to ensure work progresses safely, on schedule, and within budget.Oversee critical structural operations including abutment construction, pile driving, beam setting, and bridge deck forming.Plan site logistics, create look-ahead plans, and coordinate seamless scheduling for field crews, subcontractors, and materials vendors.Review structural blueprints, technical drawings, and complex contract specifications to verify site precision and compliance.Communicate contractual issues, field adjustments, and progress reports proactively with executive leadership and project managers.Supervise and mentor site personnel to cultivate a safety-first, high-performing field culture across all operational phases.Required Qualifications & Experience:10+ years of progressive field construction leadership experience, with a heavy emphasis on bridge building.Deep technical expertise in abutment construction, pile driving operations, beam setting, and bridge deck forming.Proven ability to read engineering plans, interpret contract specifications, and manage site schedules effectively.Substantial background managing subcontractors, vendors, material suppliers and multi-disciplinary field crews on civil infrastructure sites.Preferred Qualifications & Experience:Advanced track record of proactive problem-solving regarding contractual specifications and field engineering challenges.Strong leadership capacity aligned with a long-term interest in field operations management and team mentorship.Experience in field layout and surveying.Compensation & Benefits:Competitive annual salary structure paired with performance-based bonus eligibility.Weekly pay cycle.401(k) retirement savings program featuring generous employer matching contributions.Comprehensive medical insurance coverage options with Health Savings Account (HSA) availability.Four-day workweek schedule offering Fridays off when working at primary operations, supporting long-term work-life balance.About Us: S.M.H.
