Job Description - Transplant Hepatology Physician (250001O7) Transplant Hepatology Physician - (250001O7) Description For more than two decades, TGH has been a leader in organ transplantation, performing over 12,000 transplants since inception. The Liver Transplant program is active in clinical research and has several ongoing clinical trials in HCC, NASH, and HCV. This position involves the full scope of clinical and transplant hepatology, as well as teaching and mentoring rotating medical students, residents, and gastroenterology fellows from the University of South Florida (USF). TGH is the primary teaching hospital for the USF Health Morsani College of Medicine. USF provides GI fellows and Surgery resident rotations monthly on the Liver Transplant Service. Our program performs an average of 145 liver transplants per year since 2019. The Transplant Institute is supported by four Liver Transplant Surgeons, seven Hepatologists, and six Hepatology Advanced Practice Providers. We also have a dedicated Hepatology Hospitalist team. We are the only hospital in West Central Florida performing adult heart, lung, kidney, pancreas, and liver transplants. We are a top 10 Liver Transplant Program.
