We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Branch Manager to lead one of our key branch operations. This is an outstanding opportunity for a business leader who thrives in a fast-paced distribution environment and enjoys building customer relationships, growing revenue, developing people, and delivering operational excellence.


As the leader of the branch, you will have full responsibility for business performance-including sales growth, profitability, operations, customer satisfaction, and employee development. Working closely with senior leadership, you will develop strategies that expand market share, strengthen customer partnerships, and position the branch for long-term success.

What You'll Do


Business Development & Sales Leadership

• Drive branch sales growth through new business development and strategic account management.
• Build and strengthen relationships with customers, suppliers, and business partners.
• Identify new market opportunities and expand the company's food import, wholesale, and distribution business.
• Monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitive activity to develop effective growth strategies.
• Maintain strong relationships with key accounts while supporting long-term customer success.

Branch Operations

• Oversee all day-to-day branch operations to ensure efficiency, productivity, and exceptional customer service.
• Manage inventory, assets, equipment, and operational resources.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, food safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with Sales, Logistics, Purchasing, Accounting, HR, and other branches to support company objectives.

Financial & Business Management

• Own the branch's Profit & Loss (P&L) performance.
• Develop budgets, forecasts, and business plans that support sustainable growth.
• Monitor revenue, gross margins, expenses, and operational costs.
• Analyze financial performance and implement initiatives to improve profitability and operational efficiency.
• Present business reports and recommendations to senior leadership.

Leadership & Team Development

• Lead, coach, and inspire a high-performing team across sales and operations.
• Recruit, develop, and retain top talent.
• Establish performance goals and provide ongoing coaching and feedback.
• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, safety, and continuous improvement.

Strategic Leadership

• Develop and execute short- and long-term business strategies aligned with company goals.
• Identify opportunities to improve operations, expand the customer base, and increase profitability.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and implement innovative business solutions.

Compliance & Safety

• Ensure compliance with all company policies and applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
• Promote workplace safety, food safety, quality standards, and risk management best practices.

What We're Looking For


Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Marketing, or a related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in food distribution, food import, wholesale, or a related industry.
• 3+ years of management experience leading sales and operations teams.
• Proven success managing branch operations, business units, or profit centers.
• Strong experience managing budgets, forecasting, financial analysis, and P&L performance.
• Demonstrated success driving revenue growth and business development.
• Excellent leadership, coaching, and team development skills.
• Strong analytical, strategic planning, and problem-solving abilities.
• Outstanding communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and business management systems.
• Japanese/English bilingual skills
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
