Personal Injury Litigation Associate

Location: Lanham, MD (hybrid — 3 days in office preferred)
Experience: 3–5 years

Our client, a highly credentialed plaintiff's personal injury attorney with a long record of trial success and peer recognition, is seeking an associate to join a busy Maryland and DC litigation practice. This opportunity is ideal for a litigator who wants real courtroom experience early — with hands-on mentorship from an attorney known for developing legal talent.

What You'll Work On:

• Conduct legal research on personal injury matters in Maryland and DC
• Draft lawsuits, discovery responses, motions, oppositions, memoranda, and briefs
• Meet with clients and manage client relationships
• Take and defend depositions
• Argue motions in court
• Try cases as second chair — and solo, with case size scaled to your experience

What We're Looking For:

• 3–5 years of litigation experience, with the ability to litigate and try personal injury cases
• Admission to the Maryland Bar (required)
• Admission to the DC Bar, or willingness to gain admission
• Excellent organizational, oral advocacy, and writing skills
• Empathy, energy, a sense of humor, and a commitment to first-rate work
• A car (travel between courts and client meetings)
• Experience with a legal publication or trial advocacy coursework a plus, but not required
