This property is scheduled to transition end of July. The Assistant Property Manager will also assist the Property Manager with assigned duties related to property operations and compliance with company policy and applicable laws. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Responsible for posting of monthly rent, application fees, deposits and collections received from residents into the company platform on a timely basis. May be required to perform all leasing duties including renewals. Collection of monies due after move out due to damages, additional cleaning charges, etc. Contacting delinquent residents via letters and in person for payment with a goal of $0 due by accounting month end. Filing eviction paperwork with property's attorneys and attending court. Moving out vacating residents in computer system to assure accurate property occupancy. Responsible for preparing all month-end close out reports including Occupancy month end, Accounting month end, and processing Statement of Deposit Accounts (SODA). Standing in for the Property Manager if they are unavailable. Adhere to all company policies including but not limited to safety and Fair Housing. Other job duties as assigned. Qualifications and Skills 2 years of experience as an assistant property manager in the multi-family industry. Working knowledge of property management platforms preferred (i.e., Yardi, Entrata, Yieldstar, CRM). Property accounting experience, rent collection, eviction process, and delinquency, with strong attention to detail. Apartment leasing experience strongly preferred. Excellent communication (verbal and written), relationship-building, and customer service skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask. Depending on the property, a valid driver's license and automobile insurance may be required.
