Phlebotomist/PST Specialist

Position Overview Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to work at Oak Tree Road in Edison, NJ. Work schedule: Monday 9:00AM–4:00PM, Tuesday 9:00AM–6:00PM, Wednesday OFF, Thursday 9:00AM–4:00PM, rotating Saturdays. Job Responsibilities Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups. Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc. Enter patient data accurately and promptly. Process billing information and collect payments as necessary. Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis. Maintain patient and specimen information logs. Provide superior customer service to all patients. Perform administrative and clerical duties as needed. Travel to additional sites when required. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma, GED, or equivalent. Phlebotomy certification or completion of an accredited training program, or at least 3 months of experience as a phlebotomist. Preferred Qualifications 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience. Additional Job Standards Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency if work experience is lacking. Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently or as part of a team. Comfortable working under minimal supervision. Reliable transportation. Flexibility to work overtime as needed. Must pass a standardized color‑blindness test. Pay & Benefits Pay Range: $17.75 – $21.00 per hour. All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills, prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, and internal equity and market data. Phlebotomists may be eligible for participation in the PST Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics. Employees scheduled for 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life, STD/LTD, 401(k), paid time off (PTO) or flexible time off (FTO), tuition reimbursement, and the employee stock purchase plan. Employees scheduled for less than 20 hours, casual, intern, or temporary employees are eligible only for the 401(k) plan. Employees on a 7-on/7-off schedule receive all benefits except PTO/FTO.
