Job TitlePay Rate: $52 - $57 per hourShift Timings: DAY 7am-7:30pm, Every Other Weekend (EOW)Needs Telemetry ExperienceResponsibilitiesProvide safe, competent quality care based on nursing theory and research.Deliver patient care by incorporating the tenets of Relationship Centered Care.Assess and evaluate patient care needs and apply critical thinking skills.Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team in the development, implementation, and evaluation of the plan of care.Prioritize all aspects of patient care, including teaching, rounding, coaching, and planning "after hospital care."Educate patients and caregivers about their plan of care, transition of care, promotion of health, and prevention of disease.Communicate effectively and professionally with patients, family, and all members of the Interdisciplinary Patient Care Team.Manage assignments within the Care Delivery Model of Modified Primary Nursing.Role model the tenets of Relationship Centered Care through various actions such as Admission Welcome, Bedside Shift Report, and Purposeful Hourly Rounding.Practice safe and efficient patient-centered care, identifying and escalating barriers and opportunities for improvement.Implement process improvement strategies based on institutional evidence-based procedures.Perform charge nurse duties as assigned.Facilitate patient throughput on shift basis.Contribute to the environment of care to support clinical colleagues, patients, their families, and members of the healthcare team.RequirementsNYS RN LicenseBLS, ACLS, Tele, Ventilator certificationsMinimum 2 years Telemetry experienceMinimum 2 years RN experience1 year travel experience for Travel positionsPreferred SkillsEPIC experience highly preferredBachelor of Science with a major in nursing preferredAssociate degree in nursing considered with relevant experience and/or active matriculation in a BSN Program
