North Side Bank & Trust Teller Cincinnati, OH (Finnetown & North Side locations) Starting Pay - $18/hr APPLY HERE Position Summary The position of Teller is responsible for performing routine branch and customer services duties: accepts retail and commercial checking and savings deposits; processes loan payments; cashes checks and savings withdrawals; assists with night depository and vault duties; promotes business for the Bank by maintaining good customer relations and referring customers to appropriate staff for new services. Receives retail and commercial checking and savings deposits by determining that all necessary deposit documents are in proper form, and issuing receipts Cashes checks, savings withdrawals and makes cash advances; confirms all necessary documents are properly authorized, are in proper form and are within authorized limits; makes decisions when questionable items are presented for cashing Assists with night depository duties; logging bags, processing deposits, making change orders, issuing receipts and returning bags to customers May assist in opening and closing the vault daily; assists in balancing vault currency and coin and balancing the collector coin vault and the ATM Operates personal computer to process account activity, determine balances, and resolve problems within given authority Issues official checks and money orders Cross-sells the Bank’s other products and services, referring customers to appropriate staff as indicated Accepts loan and installment payments, property tax payments and safe deposit box payments Balances cash drawer daily and verifies cash being returned to the vault Provides effective customer service and assists in resolving problems within given authority Answers telephones and directs callers to proper Bank personnel May gather data and process various reports (e.g., currency transaction) Processes ATM deposits, change orders and deposit slip corrections Treats people with respect; keeps commitments; Inspires the trust of others; works ethically and with integrity; upholds organizational values; accepts responsibility for own actions Completes required compliance training modules annually Demonstrates knowledge of and adherence to Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) policy; shows respect and sensitivity for cultural differences; educates others on the value of diversity; promotes working environment free of harassment of any type; builds a diverse workforce and supports affirmative action Assures compliance with all Bank policies and procedures and all applicable state and federal banking laws, rules and regulations Completes administrative tasks correctly and on time; supports the Bank’s goals and values; benefits the Bank through outside activities Performs the position safely, without endangering the health or safety to themselves or others and will be expected to report potentially unsafe conditions.
