LEAD CABLE TECHNICIAN Onsite-FORT WAYNE, IN + BICSI Certified Technician + Structured Cabling + Infrastructure + Low Voltage + WAP's + CAT 5/6 + Copper + Fiber + Testing + Compliance DESCRIPTION Our enterprise healthcare partner is looking for a LEAD CABLE TECHNICIAN to expand and upgrade structured cabling infrastructure. The LEAD CABLE TECHNICIAN will be BICSI TECH certified and master-level with physical installation, termination, copper and fiber testing. The LEAD CABLE TECHNICIAN will comprehend regulation, compliance and healthcare standards. DUTIES + Interpret complex blueprints, device layouts and communicate with team. + Be hands on with decommissioning, and deploying new services. + Lead physical installation, termination and high-tier testing of Category 5e/6/6A copper and multi/single mode fiber optics. + Perform configuration, pathway routing, and low voltage terminations for specialized communication systems. + Work closely with Nurse-Call, Code Blue Integrations, Infant Security Networks, and WAP's. + Conduct OTDR testing and generate FLUKE Test Logs. + Bundle, route and pull cable with drop ceilings, cable trays and data closets. + Terminate horizontal cabling on patch panels, data jacks, and outlets using punch-down tools. + Execute precision in labeling and color-coding cabling schemes. + Use pair-scanners and network tools to isolate broken links, faulty connections or PoE issues. WORK ENVIRONMENT + BICSI Certified + Healthcare + Nurse-Call, Code Blue, WAP's + Monday-Friday, some Saturdays + Structured Cabling + Above head and ground work SHIFT & SCHEDULE + Monday-Friday + Leads work 10-12 hours shifts at times + Overtime INTERVIEWS & START DATE + Interviews August 17-19 + Start Date August 31, 2026 Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Fort Wayne, IN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $34.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
