Responsibilities

• Perform in-depth patient assessments, including thorough physical examinations and detailed reviews of medical histories
• Assist in identifying and diagnosing surgical conditions by interpreting imaging studies and analyzing lab results
• Work in close collaboration with surgical teams to create and implement tailored surgical treatment plans
• Offer intraoperative assistance, from preparing operating rooms to ensuring optimal patient positioning and instrument transfer during surgeries
• Provide outstanding pre- and post-operative care, which includes managing medication, wound care, discharge planning, and patient education

Education Requirements

• Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
• Prior completion of clinical rotations with a surgical focus is highly preferred

Necessary Certifications

• Current and unrestricted PA-C certification
• BLS and ACLS certifications are required
• State licensure (or eligibility) as a Physician Assistant
