About the Role
The Company is in search of an SVP of Business Development with a strong background in government relations and a focus on the US DoD/IC. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the Business Development team in the development and execution of strategies to enhance the company's relationships with government entities, secure government contracts, and influence public policy in favor of the company's interests. This executive-level role demands a customer-facing individual with a deep understanding of government processes, excellent networking skills, and a strategic mindset to identify and capitalize on business opportunities within the public sector. Key duties for the SVP of Business Development include working closely with legal, compliance, marketing, and operations teams to align government affairs strategies with business goals, monitoring and advocating for legislative and regulatory developments that benefit the company, and building strong relationships with key government officials and industry associations. The role also involves identifying and pursuing business opportunities within the public sector, promoting the company's capabilities that support mission requirements, and leading the preparation and submission of proposals for government contracts and grants. The ideal candidate will be actively engaged in the defense space community and will represent the company at various industry events to promote its interests and initiatives.
