Job Summary:
The Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) registered nurse position is available at a general healthcare facility located in Bridgeport, Connecticut. This role involves providing post-operative acute care to patients recovering from anesthesia across a variety of surgical specialties. The selected candidate will join a dedicated team working scheduled shifts to ensure quality patient outcomes and safe recovery processes.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 36 hours per week, consisting of two 12-hour shifts and two 8-hour shifts.
• Shift Hours: 12 hours per shift.
• Position Commitment: Start date is 10/05/2026 and end date is 01/03/2027.
• Certifications: Valid ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support), BLS (Basic Life Support), and NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale).
• Experience: 23 years of PACU experience required.
• Case Mix: Orthopedics/total joints, neuro, general surgery, gynecology, urology, robotic, and cranial cases.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: The position involves working in a busy ambulatory PACU environment, managing postoperative patients with varying acuity levels, and adhering to established clinical protocols and safety standards.
