Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Job Description

Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse to provide high-quality care in a fast-paced emergency department. Responsible for managing a diverse patient population and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions promptly upon arrival and prioritize care based on severity.
• Administer medications and treatments adhering to established protocols and safety standards.
• Document clinical observations, interventions, and patient responses accurately in the electronic medical record (EPIC).
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Monitor and respond to patient needs, including managing high-acuity cases such as stroke, sepsis, trauma, and cardiac arrest.
• Maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements, including certifications and licensing, and verify credentials prior to orientation.

Qualifications:

• Valid NY State Registered Nurse license required.
• Minimum of 3 years of ED experience, including Pediatric experience, with documented travel experience.
• Must possess current AHA ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications.
• Experience with EMR systems, particularly EPIC, is required.
• Valid driver's license matching personal demographics and documentation of travel experience.
• Ability to work an evening shift, 14:30 - 03:00, with floating flexibility as needed.
