Description

American Traveler is seeking an Outpatient Physical Therapist for a 13-week travel assignment requiring current NM PT licensure and BLS certification.

Details

• Outpatient physical medicine and therapy setting
• 13-week assignment with day shift schedule from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM
• No weekend or on-call requirements
• Blocked scheduling not accommodated

Requirements

• Current New Mexico Physical Therapist licensure required (if applicable)
• BLS certification from AHA required
• Bachelor's, Master's, or entry-level Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree from an accredited program required
• Minimum 1 year of experience preferred
• Proficiency with all modalities and equipment used by a Physical Therapist as outlined by the Executive Council of Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy Examiners
• Must successfully complete pre-employment and annual health screening examinations

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include comprehensive diagnostic evaluations, individualized treatment plan development, and discharge planning for inpatients and outpatients
• Supervises Licensed Physical Therapy Assistants, Rehab Technicians, and Volunteers
• Assists with coordination and supervision of Physical Therapy and Physical Therapy Assistant student programs
• Participates in patient care conferences, in-service programs, and departmental meetings
• Involved in performance improvement activities and departmental productivity standards
• Dress code includes khaki pants and a white polo
• Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to qualify for travel rate; local candidates may be considered on a case-by-case basis
• Previous CHRISTUS employees must have a 6-month separation period before being eligible for a travel assignment at any CHRISTUS facility
