Country Store Clerk Per Diem

Status: Per Diem (as needed, not on reg. schedule)

BROAD RESPONSIBILITIES :

The CountryStore Clerk performs all retail duties required to maintain a small country storethat is open to the public. This role does involve working with students of Green Chimneys that will learn career readiness at the store.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Greet customers and provide assistanceas needed
• Lead and model selling and customerexperience standards
• Display knowledge of products and recommendproducts based on customer needs
• Operate cash register and ring upsales
• Receive product deliveries, ensuringorder and invoice accuracy
• Stock, rotate merchandise, checking dateson grocery items and handle products accordingly
• Assist with merchandise displays andvisuals
• Maintain cleanliness in store / farmstand at all times
• Help train other staff / students asneeded
• Provide accounting of daily sales
• Help maintain farm produce stand
• Help maintain farm stand and flowergarden at the Country store
• Take managerial lead role on days thatthe Country Store Manager is not there
• Pick up inventory from local stores
• Perform other duties as assigned tomeet business needs

Education/Experience:

Abilityto work with Special Education Students

Someknowledge of farming / gardening preferred

Licensure/Certification:

CleanDriving Record

This is a perdiem role and is not benefit eligible. The rate for this role is $16.00 per hour
