Job Title: Journeyman Electrician

Job Description

This role offers a hands-on opportunity for a Journeyman Electrician with 35 years of experience to work on local warehouse, car dealership, residential, and commercial projects. You will install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems, focusing on conduit bending, wiring installations, and lighting, while collaborating closely with a small field team on a variety of construction and service jobs.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in warehouse, car dealership, residential, and commercial settings.
• Perform conduit bending (primarily EMT) and install rigid conduit as required by project specifications.
• Complete wiring installations, including pulling wire and MC cable, and making terminations safely and accurately.
• Read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics to plan and execute installations according to code and project requirements.
• Install, mount, and wire light fixtures, switches, and related electrical devices in new construction and existing structures.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate tools and techniques to identify root causes and implement effective repairs.
• Perform service electrical work, including diagnostics, repairs, and upgrades for existing electrical systems.
• Use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently to complete construction and electrical tasks.
• Work closely with a team of 23 electricians or alongside a lead mechanic, and independently on assigned jobs when trusted to do so.
• Travel to local job sites daily, meeting at the site as scheduled and ensuring punctuality and readiness to work.
• Communicate clearly with team members and supervisors to coordinate tasks, resolve issues, and maintain project timelines.
• Follow all safety procedures and electrical codes to maintain a safe work environment for yourself and others.

Essential Skills

• 35 years of experience as a Journeyman Electrician working on residential, commercial, or industrial projects.
• Strong proficiency in conduit bending, particularly EMT, including accurate measurements and clean, precise bends.
• Hands-on experience with electrical wiring installations, including pulling wire and MC cable.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics to guide installations and troubleshooting.
• Demonstrated experience installing and mounting light fixtures, switches, and related electrical components.
• Proven troubleshooting skills for diagnosing and repairing electrical issues in a variety of environments.
• Experience with residential and commercial electrical work, including both construction and service projects.
• Proficiency in using standard electrical hand tools and related construction tools safely and effectively.
• Clean driving record that meets requirements to operate a company vehicle for travel to local job sites.
• Reliable work habits, including consistent attendance, punctuality, and the ability to follow through on assigned tasks.
• Good communication skills to coordinate with team members, supervisors, and other trades on site.

• Experience working on electrical systems in warehouse and car dealership environments.

Work Environment

This is a full-time field role with a Monday through Friday schedule. Typical hours are either 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. or 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., with occasional overtime based on project needs. You will meet directly at local job sites and work primarily in residential and commercial buildings, warehouse settings, and car dealership facilities. Work is performed alongside a small team of 23 people or right next to a lead mechanic, and you may be assigned to work independently on certain jobs once you are fully trusted. The environment is hands-on and construction-focused, involving regular use of electrical hand tools, power tools, and standard trade equipment while working both indoors and outdoors depending on the site.Experience

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chambersburg, PA.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $28.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
