We are currently looking for a Packaging Associate in our packaging area. Good communication and leadership skills are Essential.

Primary Responsibilities:

Under the supervision of the Production Supervisor, the packing team performs simple assembly work, assists in setups and operating of machines, sweeps the production area, transports materials, and performs various duties to assist in the efficient production of the company.

Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent plus 2-3 years experience in manufacturing
• Ability to handle frequent interruptions, meet tight deadlines, prioritize tasks, work with minimal direction and handle conflict in a positive manner.
• Strong communication skills and interpersonal skills to work with multiple departments including Purchasing, Accounting, and Operations.
• Forklift certification obtained

Physical Requirements:

• In a standard workday this person will be required to sit 10% and stand, walk 80%, and squat, kneel or twist 10%.
• Lifting requirement of 45 lbs on a regular basis and 20 lbs frequently
• Visual requirements include the ability to read work orders, blueprints, schematics, measuring devices, computer printouts, and spreadsheet applications.
• Temperature and humidity controls are normal. Exposure to hazardous materials will be infrequent. This person may have to wear personal protective equipment which could include safety glasses and safety shoes, depending on the nature of the work.
