Apartment Maintenance Technician

BG Staffing | Indianapolis, IN 46254 Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour

BG Staffing is currently seeking a reliable and motivated Assistant Maintenance Technician (Non-Certified) to join a growing apartment community in Indianapolis, IN . This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced maintenance professional looking to expand their skills while working in a fast-paced property management environment.

Position Overview

As an Assistant Maintenance Technician, you will play a vital role in maintaining the overall appearance, functionality, and safety of the property. You will assist with daily service requests, unit turns, preventive maintenance, and general property upkeep while providing exceptional service to residents and team members.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete assigned work orders in a timely and professional manner
• Perform general maintenance and repair tasks throughout the property
• Conduct basic plumbing repairs and troubleshooting
• Assist with electrical diagnostics and repairs
• Diagnose and repair household appliances
• Perform carpentry, drywall repairs, painting, and general upkeep
• Assist with apartment turns and make-ready preparation
• Maintain community grounds and common areas as needed
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies
• Work closely with the maintenance team to ensure resident satisfaction

Qualifications

• Previous apartment maintenance experience required
• Strong understanding of general maintenance functions and repair techniques
• Experience with plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, drywall, and carpentry work
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple work orders
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Dependable transportation required
• Must provide and maintain your own tools
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull maintenance equipment and materials as needed
• Professional attitude with strong customer service skills
